06-21-2011 Escalon Police Officer Shot

Listen to the scanner radio traffic after the shooting of the Escalon Police officer. The Officer even after being shot, still gave chase to the subject. This shows the absolute bravery and willingness of the officer to do his job.


An Escalon Police Officer responding to a burglary at the Rite Aid on Jackson Avenue confronted a subject while the crime was in progress. A struggle ensued and at some point the subject was able to gain the Officers weapon and the officer was shot in the shoulder area. According to the scanner traffic the officer gave chase but lost the subject. Included in the post is a picture of a subject from surveillance footage that has committed a rash of burglary's in Escalon.
