Stockton police received a phone call about a person shot and laying in the middle of the road near American and Oak street. The male was described as an African American Male. The male was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead. Homicide detectives, the Field evidence technicians and Patrol units scoured the scene looking for evidence. Unknown shooter and the caller to 911 simply reported a Black Male in the road near 535 N. American Street. Stockton police had the four corners blocked off and were working in the rain.
