06-14-2010 Second Alarm Double House Fire Valley Forge Rd

Stockton Fire Department had a busy night, with two second alarm fires in north Stockton, and south Stockton. The first run was reported at approximately 2005 hrs, at recycling center near the south part of Stockton heading towards MLK BLVD. Because no structures were threatened, water towers were used from two of the trucks on the scene. The fire was contained approximately three to four hours later, still some ashes burning.

The second run came in at approximately 0026 hrs, of two structures on fire with one of them being a double story home. First in engine to arrived on scene, Eng.7 Captain, requested a second alarm assignment. Apparently both structures were fully engulfed, and there were exposure issues with protecting the other structures from catching on fire.

Stockton Fire had the fire under control in approximately 25 mins, keeping the primary damage to the structures that were originally on fire. No more loss of life or property. Great Job. The first run was at facility near downtown Stockton going south.
